RESTAURANTS • FOUND Favorites

Favorite new restaurants we visited during late winter/early spring of ’26.

→ PAULINE (South Beach, above), Keys native chef Abram Bissell’s ode to South Florida’s coastal bounty with Caribbean and Latin influences, inside the freshly minted Shelborne by Proper’s stylish, nautical-inflected dining room

→ TORNO SUBITO (Design District), after a foray Downtown, famed chef Massimo Bottura’s upscale, playful Italian restaurant is back in a space befitting his vast talents, the theatrical ground floor of The Moore

→ PARI PARI (Wynwood), prolific chef Yasu Tanaka can do no wrong in our books; we’re especially loving this sleek, minimalist handroll bar where quality ingredients take center stage and orders are placed via pencil and paper

RESTAURANTS • Recent Notables

  • Francesco Martucci (Wynwood), Caserta-born Francesco Martucci, regarded by some as the best pizzaiolo in the world, brings “haute pizza” to his eponymous Wynwood restaurant, inside the old Beaker & Gray space

  • A couple of good reasons to make the drive north to Fort Lauderdale: (1) celebrity chef power couple Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth’s fried chicken, double-brined, tallow-fried, and finished with rosemary-lemon dust and hot honey at the Florida Room (above), part of The Fort pickleball complex; (2) the sprawling Del Mar Mediterranean restaurant, spanning 17,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor oceanfront dining, complete with a wine cellar, two bars, and oceanfront terrace with fire pits, at the ritzy Auberge Beach Residences & Spa

  • FOUND’s first-ever Oyster Week served up a Routine from David Bracha of The River Oyster Bar, an Oysters Nines, and a meditation on oysters in Miami.

RESTAURANTS • One-Year Club

Favorite FOUND restaurants that recently turned one year old, for your perhaps easier-booking pleasure.

  • THE JOYCE (South Beach), initially only bookable via members-only Dorsia app, this clubby Espanola Way spot, helmed by Chicago’s celebrated chef James Taylor, now offers tables to everyone via Seven Rooms, reserve

  • AVIV (South Beach), chef Michael Solomonovmodern Israeli stunner at 1 Hotel South Beach, anchored by a generous Tayim set menu, reserve

  • CLAUDIE (Brickell, above), Riviera Dining Group does French Riviera in a high-design, breezy indoor-outdoor setting, reserve

  • MAPLE & ASH (Downtown), temple of over-the-top indulgence beneath an inverted palm chandelier, featuring the signature “I Don’t Give a F*@k” tasting menu ($225), reserve

ROUTINES • Goods & Services

Select answers to the FOUND Routine query, Which Miami store or service do you always recommend?

→ JENISE FERNANDEZ, anchor & reporter, Local 10 News: As a TV girlie, there’s some maintenance that is required. I have to wear makeup every day, so skincare is big for me. I love Sana Skin. It’s a good, clean facial and so relaxing. The signature facial is great for monthly maintenance and everything is reasonably priced compared to other spas.I’ve also recently become obsessed with Lash Society. I wanted to make my lashes pop but didn’t want to do too much maintenance as I’m busy and don’t have the time. A lash lift and tint will change your life. It looks so natural and doesn’t require the same management as lash extensions. I’m a big fan.

→ JENNY STARR PEREZ, publisher & editor, Courant Miami: Beach Boutique in Sunset Harbour, always. Patricia, the owner, has an incredible eye and curates the store beautifully. It’s fashion for people who really love fashion, but don’t need the attitude that sometimes comes with it. I’ve bought some of my favorite Forte Forte pieces there, and people always stop me when I wear them. That’s how you know it’s good.

→ ANITA BRAHAM, senior programming director, The Hub at Temple Beth Am: Books & Books is my forever recommendation for books, coffee, and literary events. I also can’t stop recommending Sana Skin Studio in Coconut Grove. I’ve been a member for years, and my monthly facial there is hands-down the most relaxing hour of my month.

GOODS & SERVICES • Notables

  • We’re hooked on online butcher Valor Provisions for its high-quality, ethically raised proteins, from quality Wagyu and Black Angus beef to heritage pork and more, sourced from small, American-owned farms

  • And we’re obsessed with Kikatsu’s beautiful hand-blown glassware (above), crafted in Japan for over 100 years, featuring everything from wine, sake and whisky glasses, to martini coupes, highballs, and shot glasses.

GETAWAYS • FOUND Favorites

  • We escaped to boho-chic The Cove on Eleuthera in the Bahamas’ Out Islands where our correspondent whiled away her time between a hilltop infinity pool and two private beaches with impossibly powdery white sand.

  • Farther afield, we surrendered to the modernist pleasures of the Philippe Starck-designed Fasano Rio de Janeiro (above) in a prime Ipanema Beach location, featuring a rooftop pool with awe-inspiring views.

  • And we checked into two of Key West’s most historic hotels, both newly revamped: La Concha on Duval Street, celebrating its centennial, and the beachfront Casa Marina, originally built by Henry Flagler. While you’re “wasting away,” might we point you to favorite longtime locals gem, Santiago’s Bodega, for sumptuous tapas-style fare.
