ABOUT FOUND • Help Wanted

  • New FOUND locales are coming. We’re seeking contributors based in Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, New Orleans, Hawaii, Barcelona, Rome, Sydney, and Melbourne. A professional writing background isn’t required — mostly, we’re looking for passion about one or more FOUND categories (real estate, restaurants, shopping, culture & leisure, getaway travel & the modern workplace) along with impeccable taste. Is that you, or a friend? Interested candidates, drop us a line at found@itsfound.com and tell us a little about yourself.

  • More FOUND Objects are on the way. We’re looking for contributors to write about goods & services that bring them (and their friends) joy — from sunglasses to swimsuits, watches to high-end appliances, and more. Send us your one-sentence pitches at found@itsfound.com.

  • We’re seeking a freelance social media manager to give life to FOUND’s accounts on Instagram and potentially other platforms. The ideal candidate has experience managing social for a media brand or creator, is fluent in Canva and/or Illustrator, can adapt newsletter content into sharp, on-brand social posts (feed, stories, reels), and understands and enjoys neighborhood-based storytelling. If you’re interested, please send your portfolio, relevant social handles, and a short note about your availability to found@itsfound.com.

WORK • Thursday Routine

Sweet dreams

JUAN QUINTERO • owner • Hästens Miami
Neighborhood you work in:
Miami Design District, Brickell, and Aventura

It’s Thursday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
It’s a calm, intentional start to the day. When a client arrives at the Hästens Sleep Spa, the pace immediately slows. The space is quiet, softly lit, and designed to feel more like a wellness retreat than a traditional showroom.

We begin with a guided meditation and sound bowl therapy to help release tension and transition out of the day’s noise. From there, I share practical sleep insights tailored to their lifestyle, then invite them to fully relax into one of our handcrafted beds. Clients are encouraged to close their eyes, breathe, and feel the bed support their body. It’s a holistic experience that blends education, wellness, and craftsmanship, whether they’re stopping by between meetings or intentionally stepping away from a busy work-from-anywhere schedule to reset.

What’s on the agenda for today?
We recently opened our Hästens Sleep Spa in Aventura at The Abbey, so I’m working with the team to fine-tune the flow now that we’re live, ensuring the environment, pacing and details all support deep rest.

Any bar or restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
Cafe La Trova is always a favorite. Besides being a great restaurant, it’s home to one of the best rum bars in the US, and widely considered among the top in the world. I usually order a classic mojito, which is one of the best I’ve had anywhere, and the lechón asado is exceptional, very flavorful and authentic. Since it’s right across from our Brickell location, it’s an easy go-to when I’m in the area.

I also spend time at Contessa in the Design District, just across from our Hästens store. It’s a refined Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. I typically start with the octopus agrodolce, and the lobster capellini is a standout. The bar is also a great option, especially on weekends when it stays open later, offering a lively, but still elegant, setting.

How about a little leisure or culture?
I like to start my day at my gym, Anatomy. I use the full wellness circuit, cold plunge, hot jacuzzi, sauna, and steam. It’s something I prioritize, both physically and mentally. As a sleep expert, I try to live that philosophy daily and integrate it into how I connect with others. I also enjoy attending Miami Heat games with my family. It’s a great way to unwind, and being there together, surrounded by the energy of the city, makes it special.

Any weekend getaways?
For a quick reset, we often go to the Keys. It’s close enough to feel effortless, but still like a true escape. We like staying at Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada, which has a relaxed, refined atmosphere and excellent service. The oceanfront suites and beach casitas are especially great for families (intel). We keep things simple there. I enjoy oysters Rockefeller by the beach with a mojito and taking in the surroundings. One of my favorite experiences is the sunset cruise from the property, a peaceful way to end the day. More than anything, our time in the Keys is about slowing down, being together, and prioritizing wellness.

What was your last great vacation?
One of our most meaningful trips was to Bali last year during a global partners meeting. My wife and I stayed at the Bvlgari Resort Bali, where the level of care and hospitality was unlike anything we’ve experienced. Beyond the beauty, the people and their approach to service left a lasting impression and deeply inspired how we think about caring for others.

GETAWAYS • Palm Beach

Eau-asis

At Eau Resort & Spa Palm Beach, two expansive pool decks (one for adults, the other for families) are perched on a retaining wall above the Atlantic Ocean. With a front row of cushy lounge chairs looking straight out to sea and an uncrowded, unhurried air, it’s as idyllic a place as any to while away an afternoon swimming and sunbathing in South Florida. A poolside bar and restaurant with an attentive staff, a lobster Cobb, and ample Champagne and rosé on the menu adds to the sense of ease.
