Ice cold
Mimi Kakushi (South Beach)
RESTAURANTS • First Word
I’ve encountered at least a handful of martinis claiming to be the world’s coldest. They’re mostly in Manhattan, and deploy everything from liquid nitrogen to an ice-block-encased bottle of gin or vodka for tableside preparations. And generally, I’ve been underwhelmed, finding the drinks so cold (some claim to be chilled to -27 degrees), they’re hard to touch, let alone taste. But at Mimi Kakushi, the restaurant tucked inside the newly reopened Delano in South Beach, the Nara Nara won me over.
