It’s Thursday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
My day begins with prepping my son for school, then heading to my local gym, DBC Fitness, for a workout before making my way to Canush. By the time I arrive, the team has already opened the showroom: the lights are on, music is playing, and candles are lit, filling the space with a warm, inviting scent. I make my cappuccino, check in with the team, and ease into work for the day.
From there, we review the schedule — what’s been delivered, what’s going out, and what’s ahead. Mornings are usually spent working through design projects with my team before I step out to source materials, visit job sites, or meet with partners and clients.
What’s on the agenda for today?
Today is a mix of studio time and running around the city. I just returned from Paris for Maison & Objet, so today is focused on reviewing those orders and finalizing what will be arriving for the season ahead. In addition, I’m sourcing materials like tiles for client projects, placing additional orders, and moving between meetings and vendor check-ins. It’s a day of balancing big-picture design with the details that bring each space to life.
Any bar or restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
I spend a lot of time in MiMo, so most of my go-to spots are right around Canush. I love starting the day with a cappuccino from Caracas Bakery, and We We’s Bakery & Bistro next door is a staple for easy lunches: great sandwiches, fresh salads, and good coffee when we need a reset between meetings. For nights out, Sunny’s Steakhouse is always a classic, and Mandolin is a longtime love, one of those places I return to for its atmosphere and timeless Mediterranean food.
Any weekend getaways?
Between busy work weeks and my son’s soccer tournaments, quick getaways are how I like to reset. I went to Aspen in February for my annual ski trip, which I always look forward to. Even short trips make a big difference, so I’m always thinking about what’s next.
What was your last great vacation?
Paris was my most recent trip, a mix of work and a little time to enjoy the city between meetings and sourcing. Before that, I spent last summer in Ibiza, which was unforgettable. I love the energy of the island paired with its beautiful food scene. My go-to spots were Jondal for lunch, Sa Capella for dinner, and a boat day to Formentera with lunch at Juan y Andrea.
What store or service do you always recommend?
The Biohack Lab. It’s one of my go-to places for recovery and overall wellness. Whether it’s IVs, red light, or targeted treatments, it’s a place I genuinely rely on to feel my best.
