It’s Thursday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
Quiet, focused, and refreshingly low-drama. We’re a 15-person team in the office every day, but with flexibility baked in — no one’s clock-watching. There’s a weekly all-hands that keeps everyone rowing in the same direction, and after that, it’s heads-down execution with people coming in and out getting things done.
My office walls are anchored by two oversized photos of Tamarack Resort, the ski, golf, and lake resort two hours north of Boise, Idaho — a project I’m deeply immersed in. One image is peak summer, the other deep winter, both a constant reminder that the destination I’m working on is beautiful year-round. We’re heading up there next weekend with about 80 close friends and family, which should be equal parts memorable and mildly chaotic.
Any bar or restaurant plans today, tonight, or this weekend?
Breakfast this morning with my wife and one of our dogs at Deli Lane, an easy favorite for outdoor mornings. Tonight is dinner at Amal in Coconut Grove with friends. It’s consistently excellent, and if timing allows, a pre-dinner rooftop cocktail is mandatory. Miami views have a way of reminding you exactly why you live here.
How about a little leisure or culture?
We took our sons to a Miami Heat vs. Toronto Raptors game. A friend hooked us up with great seats and Courtside Club access, which delivers peak Miami energy — part basketball, part scene.
Any weekend getaways?
We have a pretty special home in Key Largo, which my wife has done an amazing job transforming into our family’s happy place. For us, it’s the kind of place where you arrive, exhale, and immediately forget what day it is. More recently, we discovered Staniel Cay in the Bahamas, and it blew us away. It’s a quick flight out of Fort Lauderdale on Makers Air with unreal water, endless sandbars, and that laid-back Bahamian rhythm that’s impossible to fake. We stayed in a small beach cottage and spent our evenings at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club. It’s absolutely a repeat destination, next time with the kids.
What’s a recent big-ticket purchase you love?
I put down a deposit years ago on a Tesla Cybertruck and eventually decided to take delivery, despite worrying it might be a little too “notice me.” I’m genuinely obsessed with self-driving tech, but I’ll admit I’ve already grown tired of the car itself. Which means I’m officially in the “what’s next?” phase.
Where are you donating your time or money?
I continue to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami and I currently serve on the board of the University of Miami Real Estate Program. Both focus on investing in people and long-term impact, which aligns with how I try to operate professionally and personally.
